IN RE: SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ESTABLISHMENT OF STANDARD LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
CONTRACT RATES AND CONTRACT APPROVAL - JANUARY 1, 2017 THROUGH DECEMBER 31,
2018
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS it is the policy of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners to permit the Sheriffs Office to
enter into contracts with townships, villages and cities for the purpose of providing Sheriff patrol services;
and
WHEREAS the County Executive and the Sheriff developed the 2017/2018 contract rates for the period
commencing January 1,2017, through December 31, 2018; and
WHEREAS these rates have been through the County Executive review process.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following rates be established per officer for Law
Enforcement Services for the period January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2018:

Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XII-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above referenced
resolution and finds:
1. This resolution establishes Law Enforcement Services contract rates for the twenty-four (24)
month period of January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018.
2. The proposed contract rates cover direct operational costs.
3. The new two year rates reflect the latest contracted position numbers, salary, fringe benefits, and
operating costs; and impact the Adopted Budgeted Sheriff Special Deputy revenues.
4. The FY 2017 - FY 2019 budgets are amended as follows:
