RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - 1993 WAGE RE-OPENER AGREEMENT FOR
EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE,
COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, AFL-CIO, MICHIGAN COUNCIL 25,
LOCAL 3075 (PROSECUTOR'S INVESTIGATORS)
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, the County of Oakland and the American Federation of
State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Michigan Council
25, Local 3075, have been negotiating a 1993 wage rate covering
seven (7) Prosecutor's Investigator employees of the Oakland County
Prosecuting Attorney's Office pursuant to the 1991 - 1993
collective bargaining agreement; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been reached with these employees
for the period December 26, 1992 through December 31, 1993 and said
agreement has been reduced to writing; and
WHEREAS, the agreement has been reviewed by your Personnel
Committee which recommends approval of the agreement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the agreement bet',Teen the
County of Oakland, the Oakland County Prosecutor, and Local 3075,
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-
CIO, Michigan Chapter 25, is hereby approved; and that the
Chairperson of this Board, on behalf of the County of Oakland, is
authorized to execute said agreement, copy of which is attached
hereto.
Chairperson, on behalf of the Personnel Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.

Enclosed for your files, please find a copy of the Memorandum of
Agreement with regards to 1993 Wage Rates with the American Federation
of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Michigan Council 25
and the County of Oakland representing the Prosecutor's Investigators.
This Wage Re-Opener was passed at the November 18, 1993 Board meeting.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
This agreement is entered into this t , r" day of 2_ ,
1993 between the County of Oakland and the American Federation of State,
County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Michigan Council 25, Oakland County
Unit - Prosecutor's Investigators pursuant to Appendix B of the 1991 - 1993
collective bargaining agreement which provides for negotiations to determine a
1993 wage rate for employees represented by this bargaining unit.
The parties agree that the wages for calendar year 1993 shall be
increased by 3% for all classifications represented by the union and shall
become effective December 26, 1992.

The following merit salary schedule shall become effective December 26, 1992.
(a) Prosecutor's Investigators hired prior to 1/1/81
$40,733 Flat Rate
These employees will continue' to contribute 3% of their tot al wages
toward the Retirement Plan.
(b) Prosecutor's Investi ators hired on or after 1/1/81
$39,547 Flat Rate
These employees will not contribute to the Retirement Plan but will be
covered by the plan in the same manner as non-represented County
• employees.

AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, MICHIGAN COUNCIL 25, AFL-CIO
LOCAL 3075 (PROSECUTOR'S INVESTIGATORS)
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioner
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XI-G of this Board, the Finance Committee has
reviewed Miscellaneous Resolution #93246 and finds:
1) The County of Oakland, the Oakland County Prosecutor, and
the American Federation of State, County and Municipal
Employees, Michigan Council 25, AFL-CIO Local 3075 have
reached an agreement to determine the 1993 wage rate for
the Prosecutor's Investigators represented by this
bargaining unit.
2) The agreement stipulates a 3% salary increase for 1993
retroactive to December 26, 1992.
3) The agreement sets two different salary schedules as
follows:
Prosecutor's Investigators hired prior to 1/1/81:
$40,733 Flat Rate, plus contribute 3% of their
total wages to their retirement plan.
Prosecutor's Investigators hired after 1/1/81:
$39,547 Flat Rate, with no contribution to the
Retirement Plan, but coverage to be the same
as non-represented County employees.
4) Funds are available in the Prosecuting Attorney's 1993
budget to cover the 3% salary increase, therefore no
additional appropriations are required for 1993.
