HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 2018.04.19 - 23383MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #18093 April 19, 2018 BY: Commissioner Thomas Middleton, Chairperson, Finance Committee IN RE: DEPARTMENT OF CENTRAL SERVICES — DEPARTMENT OWNED VEHICLES — FLEET EXPANSION OF ONE (1) VEHICLE FOR WATER RESOURCES COMMISSIONER OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE DIVISION To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners adopted a leased vehicle policy through Miscellaneous Resolution #93230, which was amended by Miscellaneous Resolution #94357 and requires additional vehicles to be approved by the Board of Commissioners; and WHEREAS the Water Resources Commissioner, Operations and Maintenance Division, has requested the addition of one (1) department owned vehicle, a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Truck equipped with CCTV camera and CCTV computer systems; and WHEREAS the vehicle will be assigned to the Operations and Maintenance Division to televise underground sewer and drain facilities; and WHEREAS $221,260 is required to purchase the vehicle; and WHEREAS funding is available from the Drain Equipment Fund to cover the total capital acquisition cost of $221,260; and WHEREAS as required by policy, the County Executive's Department of Central Services has reviewed the request and determined it is justified within the policy. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners authorizes the expansion of the fleet by one (1) vehicle to be assigned to the Water Resources Commissioner, Operations and Maintenance Division.
