HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1993.11.18 - 23429MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #93267 NOVEMBER 18, 1993 BY: PERSONNEL COMMITTEE - Marilynn Gosling, Chairperson IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - 1994 WAGE REOPENER AND ONE YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION OF LABOR AGREEMENT FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY POLICE OFFICERS LABOR COUNCIL (BUILDING SAFETY ATTENDANTS) To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, the County of Oakland and the Police Officers Labor Council have been negotiating a 1994 wage rate pursuant to Appendix A of the 1992 - 1994 contract covering approximately twenty-three (23) Building Safety Attendants in the Building Safety Unit of the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, the parties have reached agreement regarding the 1994 wage rate and have further agreed to extend the current contract through 1995 and said agreement has been reduced to writing; and WHEREAS, the agreement has been reviewed by your Personnel Committee which recommends approval of the agreement. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the agreement between the County of Oakland and the Police Officers Labor Council is hereby approved; and that the Chairperson of this Board, on behalf of the County of Oakland, is authorized to execute said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto. Chairperson, on behalf of the Personnel Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. PERSONNEL COMMITTEE Lf OF AGREED= This agreement is entered into this day of 1993, between the County of Oakland and the Police Officers Labor Council - Building Safety Attendants pursuant to Appendix A of the 1992 - 1994 collective bargaining agreement which provides for negotiations to determine a 1994 wage rate for employees represented by this bargaining unit. The parties agree that the employees represented by this bargaining unit shall be entitled to receive the same general salary increase as approved by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners to take effect during calendar year 1994 for non-represented employees. Adjustment, if any, shall be applied at the same time and in the same manner as applied to the non-represented group in calendar year 1994. The parties further agree to extend the 1992 - 1994 agreement through December 31, 1995. Wages and benefits modifications shall occur as follows: Wages 1995 Employees represented by this bargaining unit shall be entitled to receive the same general salary increase as approved by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners to take effect during calendar year 1995 for non-represented employees. Adjustments, if any, shall be applied at the same time and in the same manner as applied to the non-represented group in calendar year 1995. Benefits 1995 All employee benefit modifications implemented on a County wide basis to non-represented employees during calendar year 1995 shall be applied to employees represented by this bargaining unit. Modifications, if any, shall be applied at the same time and in the same manner as applied to the non-represented group in calendar year 1995.
