HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 2018.08.09 - 23738ComfissionerWillizalintaper,'District #.0 U, Chairperson, Public Services Committee MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #18292 August 9, 2018 BY: Commissioner William Dwyer, Chairperson, Public Services Committee IN RE: FRIEND OF THE COURT — FY2018 ACCESS AND VISITATION GRANT AMENDMENT To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Oakland County Friend of the Court received an amendment of the FY 2018 Access and Visitation grant award (approved by MR #18004) administered through the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO); and WHEREAS the subsequent award increases the contract amount from $17,500 to $22,500; and WHEREAS the additional $5,000 will be used for services performed in conjunction with Impact Consulting, Inc. which facilitates parenting time (visitation) for certain cases as determined by the Court; and WHEREAS there are no in-kind matching funds required by the grant; and WHEREAS the grant amendment has completed the Grant Review process according to the Board of Commissioners Grant Procedures. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners accepts the FY 2018 Access and Visitation grant contract amendment for an additional $5,000 for the period October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners is authorized to execute this amendment and to approve additional amendments and extensions up to fifteen (15%) percent variance from the award. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED this grant program is contingent up on the continuation of State funding and acceptance of this grant does not obligate the County to any future commitment. Box 30048, Lansing, Michigan 48909, and the 6th Circuit Court, Oakland County Friend of the Court, 230 Elizabeth Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48390 (Contractor), is amended as follows: . The contract amount of $17,500.00 is increased to $22,500.00 2. This amendment will be effective only when signed by the Chief Operating Officer or her designee, and the Chief Circuit Court Judge, or other person designated to legally bind contracts. Once signed, its provisions will apply to the entire period specified in the 2017-18 Access and Visitation Contract.
