McCULLOCH, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - CONTRACT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES IN INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, Independence Township has contracted with the Oakland County Sheriff's Department to provide law enforcement services for the Township (Miscellaneous Resolution #93299, December 9, 1993); and WHEREAS, Paragraph 16 of this Contract provided that an amendment to this Contract must be approved by concurrent resolutions of both the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and the Independence Township Board; and WHEREAS, Independence Township has requested and approved a proposed amendment SCHEDULE A - SHERIFF'S DEPUTYfTRRI rnwrpnoT7p to the Contract which would add ONE (1) PATROL DEPUTY II (NO- FILL), and; WHEREAS, the Sheriff has agreed to add ONE (1) PATROL DEPUTY 11 (NO-FILL) for Indep_endence Township under the terms of the Contract. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approve an amendment to the original SCHEDULE A - SHERIFF'S DEPUTY(TES) CONTRArTRD of the OAKLAND COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPit C °04 .e INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP to increase the number of PATROL DEPUTY(IES) II (NO-FILL) from the amended TWELVE(12), to a new total of THIRTEEN(13) PATROL DEPUTY(IES) II (NO-FILL) as shown in the attached SCHEDULE A - SHERIFF'S DEPUTY(TRS) rinmTparimpn (AMENDED January 1, 1995). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this amendment will take effect on January 1, 1995. BE 17 FURTHER RESOLVED, that ONE (1) Deputy II position be created in the contracted patrol unit, Protective Services Division of the Sheriff's Department. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 1995 Biennial Budget should be amended, as specified on the attached schedule, increasing governmental revenues and expenditures by $74,869, to account for the addition of the contracted officer.
