Increased Funding
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS:
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
The General Government Committee, having reviewed the above
referenced resolution on September 12, 1994, reports with the
recommendation that the resolution be adopted.
Chairperson, on behalf of the General Government Committee, I
move acceptance of the foregoing report.

MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION 194270

IN RE: DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES/HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY -
REQUEST FOR INCREASED FUNDING
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners allocated $491,304 for
calendar year 1994 to the Oakland Livingston Human Services
Agency (OLHSA) to support general agency administration of the
various grant funded programs operated by the agency; and
WHEREAS one grant administered by OLHSA is the Title V
Senior Aides program which provides part-time employment
opportunities in the public and private non-profit sector, for
low income individuals aged 55 and older; and
WHEREAS funding reductions has eliminated a portion of the
administrative support for this program, which could adversely
effect direct services to 68 Oakland County residents and the
agencies they serve; and
WHEREAS OLHSA has requested an annual increase of $26,500 to
support the administration of the Title V Senior Aides program;
funds needed for the balance of 1994 equals $8,700; and
WHEREAS funds are available in the 1994 Contingency Account
to cover the 1994 portion of the request, the 1995 amount will be
built into the 1995 Executive Recommended Budget Amendments.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 1994 Budget be
amended, as specified below, to cover Oakland County's portion of
the requested funding to provide administrative support to the
Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency's Title V Senior Aides
program:

Chairperson, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.
