MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION *95005 February 9, 1995

IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - ONE YEAR (1995) CONTRACT EXTENSION OF LABOR
AGREEMENT FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, MICHIGAN COUNCIL 25 (PROSECUTOR'S INVESTIGATORS)
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the County of Oakland and the Ameriran Fpdpratinn of State, County
and Municipal Employees, Michigan Council 25, have been negotiating a contract
covering approximately seven (7) Prosecutor's Investigators of the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney; and
WHEREAS the parties have reached an agreement to extend the 1991-1993
contract provisions through 1995 (previously extended through 1994); and
WHEREAS the agreement includes a "Me Too" Clause and_at_ipulates a 4k salary
increase for 1995; and
WHEREAS funding for the increase is included in the 1995 Adopted Budget;
WHEREAS the Preferred Provider Drug Plan as adopted by the Board of
Commissioners has been included in the agreement effective 1/1/95; and
WHEREAS the agreement also stipulates that the Retirement Health Care
Benefits for employees hired on or after 1/1/95 are to be implemented consistent
with the provisions of Miscellaneous Resolution 494292.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the agreement between the County of
Oakland and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees,
Michigan Council 25, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of this Board, on behalf of the
County of Oakland, is authorized to execute the said agreement, a copy of which
is attached hereto.
Chairperson, on behalf of the Finance and Personnel Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.

SUBJECT: Board of Commissioners Memorandum of Agreement
enclosed for your files, please find a copy of the Memorandum of
Agreement with the County of Oakland and the American Federation of
State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Michigan Council 25
representing seven (7) Prosecutor's Investigators. This memorandum of
agreement was passed at the February 9, 1995 Board meeting.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
This agreement is entered into this day of 4_ 1995 ,between the County of
Oakland and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal E ployees, AFL-CIO, Michigan
Council 25, covering seven (7) Prosecutor's Investigators.
The parties agree to extend the provisions of the 1991-1993 collective bargaining agreement
(previously extended through December 31. 1994) through December 31, 1995.
Wage and benefit modifications shall occur as follows:
Wages 1995
Employees represented by this bargaining unit shall be entitled to receive the same general
increase as approved by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners to take effect during calendar year
1995 for non-represented employees. All such adjustments shall be applied at the same time and in the
same manner as applied to the general non-represented group.
Benefits 1995
- Effective 111/95 the Preferred Provider Drug Plan as adopted by the Board of Commissioners and
in effect for non-represented employees as of 1/1195. shall be implemented for employees represented by
this bargaining unit.
- Retirement Health Care Benefits for employees hired on or after 1/1/95 shall be consistent with
the provisions of Miscellaneous Resolution #94292, which states in part:
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on completion of fifteen years of actual County service,
employees hired on or after January 1. 1995 shall be credited with 60% of a County paid retiree health
care plan, credited at the rate of 4% each year for the first fifteen years of employment, and shall
accumulate 4% additional retirement health care credit per annum with a maximum benefit of 100% of
the County paid portion of retirement health care on completion of twenty-five (25) years of eligible
County service, excluding employee co-pays and deductibles..."
