principal sum of not to exceed Fifty-Eight Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars
($58,800,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds for the purpose
of defraying the cost of:

Thewholenumterofvotesgivenforandagainstthe PROPOSAL II—SINKING FUND MILLAGE PROPOSAL
Shall the Avondale School District, County of Oakland, Michigan, be authorized
to levy .6 mill to create a sinking fund for the purpose of the construction or
repair of school buildings and the improvement and development of sites and for
any other purpose which may be authorized by law for the use of sinking fund
proceeds, by increasing the limitation on the amount of taxei—iihich may be
imposed on taxable property in the School District for a period of five (5) years,
being the years 2003 to 2007, incisive! It is estimated that .6 mill ($0.60 per
$1,000 of taxable valuation) would raise approximately $680,000 in the first year
that it is levied.
(Under state law, sinking fund proceeds may not be used to pay teacher or
administrator salaries.)
