Chairperson, on behalf of the General Government Committee, I move the acceptance of the foregoing Report. Law 4...1 PO AI/ Ale c IN RE: DEFINE TERMS FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE OAKLAND COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL AND SEMCOG DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners annually appoints members to the Oakland County Community Development Advisory Council pursuant to MR84023 and preceding resolutions MR7835 and MR6997; and WHEREAS there is no stated term for the appointments of these members, but precedent has been for the Board Chairperson to appoint individuals to this Council for a term of one-year; and WHEREAS likewise Oakland County's Delegates and Alternates to the Southeastern Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) have been historically appointed by the Board of Commissioners for a one-year term, but there is no guiding resolution which establishes such term. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners does hereby specify that the term for Community Development Advisory Council members shall be for one year and shall expire on December 31 of each year; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners does hereby specify that the term for Delegates and Alternates to SEMCOG shall be for one year and shall expire on December 31 of each year.
