MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #97126 June 12, 1997

IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - SALARY ADMINISTRATION FIRST QUARTERLY REPORT FOR 1997
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Salary Administration Study Group Reports, approved by the Board
of Commissioners for Grades 1 - 21, provide a review and appeal process for
departments and employees wishing to challenge the salary grade placement of
classifications; and
WHEREAS the First Quarterly Report for 1997 was submitted to the Finance and
Personnel Committee identifying the reviews requested and the salary grade changes
recommended by the Personnel Department after completion of this review process; and
WHEREAS the Finance and Personnel Committee has reviewed and approved this
report; and
WHEREAS the annual cost of the recommended salary grade placement changes for
Governmental positions is $12,666 and the cost for the remainder of 1997 is $4,432;
and
WHEREAS the annual cost of the salary grade placement changes for the Special
Revenue positions is $14,948 and the cost for the remainder of 1997 is $5,232; and
WHEREAS funding is available to implement the recommended salary grade changes
for the Governmental positions in the Classification and Rate Change account; and
WHEREAS funding is available for the Special Revenue positions in these funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
authorizes implementation of the Salary Administration First Quarterly Report for
1997 which includes the following personnel actions:

Airport Clerk (New Class,
Airport Rental Agent, reg OT)
Storekeeper III (New Class,
Golf Shop Coord., reg. OT)
Mgr.-Data Center Operations
Master Appraiser (New Class,
Chief-Real Property, no OT)
Library Supervisor
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the 1997/1998 Budget is amended as follows:
