MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #97105 May 8, 1997

IN RE: DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - 1997 BUDGET AMENDMENTS FOR APPROVED
OFFICE AUTOMATION PROJECTS
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS Miscellaneous Resolution #94009 (Department of Information Technology
- Approval of Inventory Pool for Automation Equipment) specifies that, on a
quarterly basis, budget amendments will be presented in resolution form summarizing
the impact on Information Technology and user departments' budgets for office
automation.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
approves amendments to the 1997, FY1998, FY1999/2000 Biennial Budget as detailed in
the attached Information Technology Office Automation Schedule for projects approved
in the first quarter of 1997.
Chairperson, on behalf of the Strategic Planning Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.

IN RE: DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - FIRST QUARTER 1997 BUDGET
AMENDMENTS FOR APPROVED OFFICE AUTOMATION PROJECTS
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XII-F of this Board, the Finance and Personnel
Committee has reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds:
1. The Strategic Planning Committee has approved various office
automation projects during the first quarter of 1997.
2. The cost, to the governmental funds, of implementing and operating
the new technology is $146,545 in 1997, $175,248 in FY 1998, and
$175,248 in FY 1999, as detailed on the attached
schedule.
3. Funds are available in the non-departmental Office Automation
account to cover the cost to the governmental funds. The 1997 and
1998 budget should be amended, as detailed on the attached
Schedule, to cover the cost of the approved office automation
projects.
