IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - LABOR AGREEMENT CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR EMPLOYEES
REPRESENTED BY THE OAKLAND COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT REPORTERS ASSOCIATION
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS a labor agreement covering approximately 11 Court Reporter III's
of the Oakland County Circuit Court has been negotiated with the Oakland County
Circuit Court Reporters' Association; and
WHEREAS an agreement has been reached to extend the labor agreement
currently in effect through September 30, 2001, and said agreement has been
reduced to writing; and
WHEREAS the agreement Ls based on "me too" with non-represented employees
for fiscal year 1999, 2000, and 2001 wages and benefits.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RES0 -1,VED that the proposed agreement between the
Oakland County Circuit Court, the County of Oakland, and the Oakland County
Circuit Court Reporters' Association, covering the period of January 1, 1999
through September 30, 2001, is approved and that the Board Chairperson, on behalf
of the County of Oakland, is authorized to execute said agreement as attached.
Chairperson, on behalf of the Personnel Committee, I move the adoption of
the foregoing resolution.

The Chairperson referred the resolution to the Finance Committee. There
were no objections.

Court Reporters Memorandum of Agreement with the County of Oakland,
representing the Circuit Court Reporters. This Memorandum of Agreement
was passed at the December 10, 1998 Board meeting.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
This Agreement entered into this /6 14 day of/Da-?:!-/6e---_, , 1998, between the
Oakland County Circuit Court and the Oakland County Circuit Court Reporters Association as
follows:
The parties agree that the collective bargaining agreement in effect for 1998 shall be
extended through September 30, 2001, with salary increases for each fiscal year being the same
general salary increases approved by the Board of Commissioners to take effect during each
fiscal year for non-represented employees.
All such adjustments shall be applied at the same time and in the same manner as applied
to the non-represented group.
The parties further agree that any fringe benefit modifications applied to the non-
represented employees during fiscal year 1999, 2000, and 2001, shall be applied to the
employees represented by this bargaining unit at the same time and in the same manner as
applied to the non-represented group.

IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - LABOR AGREEMENT CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR EMPLOYEES
REPRESENTED BY THE OAKLAND COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT REPORTERS ASSOCIATION
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XII-F of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed
the above referenced resolution and finds:
1. The resolution approves a labor agreement reached with the Oakland
County Circuit Court Reporters Association extending the current
agreement through September 30, 2001.
2. The agreement is based on "me too" with non-represented employees
for fiscal year 1999, 2000, and 2001 for wages and benefits
3. No additional appropriation is required for the FY 1999-2000 budget.
Changes to the FY 2001 budget will be included in the budget
adoption process.

adopted and the resolutions on the Consent Agenda being amended to conform with
their committee reports be adopted as amended.

A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolutions on the Consent
Agenda were adopted and the resolutions on the Consent Agenda being amended to
conform with their committee reports were adopted as amended.
