HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1998.12.10 - 2532811 19401 01665 10 16 18 32201-03093 32301-02663 32401-01491 32050-03022 5 31201-00327 31201-01744 31201-03090 5 31201-02078 3 2 December 10, 1998 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #98320 BY: Personnel Committee, Thomas Law, Chairperson IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - SALARY ADMINISTRATION QUARTERLY REPORT FY 1999 -1 To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Salary Administration Study Group Reports, approved by the Board of Commissioners for Grades 1 - 21, provide a review and appeal process for departments and employees wishing to challenge the salary grade placement of classifications; and WHEREAS the Salary Administration Quarterly Report for FY 1999-1 was submitted to the Personnel Committee identifying the reviews requested and the salary grade changes recommended by the Personnel Department after completion of this review process; and WHEREAS funding is available to implement the recommended salary grade changes for the General Fund/General Purpose positions in the Classification and Rate Change Account; and WHEREAS funding is available for the Special Revenue/Proprietary position in Community Mental Health L.Inds; and WHEREAS the Personnel Committee has reviewed and approved this report. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners authorizes implementation of the Salary Administration Quarterly Report for FY 1999-1 which includes the following personnel actions: Classification Salary Grade From: 7o: Location-Position User Support Specialist I (Retitle 1 position to new class titled Tax Standards Specialist, OT Non-exempt) Supervisor - Admin Servs 10 11 17501-02837 15406-00682 Chf-Office of Recpt Rights 15 16 55003-07907 Sr. Probation Officer 12 13 32205-07223 (new class titled - District Court Probation Supv., OT Exempt) District Court Admin Input/Output Clerk (Retitle 3 positions to new class Imaging Support Clerk, OT Non-exempt) Clerk IT (Retitle 1 position to new class Imaging Support Clerk, OT Non-exempt) Personnel Committee Vote: Motion carried on unanimous roll call vote with Holbert and Millard absent. The Personnel Department, approved by the Board of Commissioners, for Grades 1 - 21 provides a review and appeal process for departments and employees wishing to challenge the salary grade placement of classifications. 2. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade placement changes for General Fund/General Purpose positions is $44,372 for FY 2000 and $34,133 for the remainder of FY 1999. 3. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade placement changes for the Special Revenue Fund Community Mental Health positions is $6,201 for FY 2000 and $4,770 for the remainder of FY 1999. 4. Funding is available for the General Fund/General Purpose positions in the Classification and Rate Change Account. 5.
