HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1998.03.18 - 25394• 5 6 31201-02443 31201-01306 31201-05371 Clerk III (Reclassify 3 positions to new class titled Warrant Clerk, Non-Exempt) March 5, 1998 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #98028 BY: Personnel Committee, Thomas Law, Chairperson IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - SALARY ADMINISTRATION FIRST QUARTERLY REPORT FOR FY 1998 To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Salary Administration Study Group Reports, approved by the Board of Commissioners for Grades 1 - 21, provide a review and appeal process for departments and employees wishing to challenge the salary grade placement of classifications; and WHEREAS the Salary Administration First Quarterly Report for FY 1998 was submitted to the Personnel Committee identifying the reviews requested and the salary grade changes recommended by the Personnel Department after completion of this review process; and WHEREAS funding is available to implement the recommended salary grade changes for the General Fund/General Purpose positions in the Classification and Rate Change Account; and WHEREAS funding is available for the Special Revenue/Proprietary position in Information Technology funds; and WHEREAS the Personnel Committee has reviewed and approved this report. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners authorizes implementation of the Salary Administration First Quarterly Report for FY 1998 which includes the following personnel actions: Classification Salary Grade From: To: Location-Position Pretrial Services Supv. 14 16 17402-06232 (Retitle to new class titled Supv. Community Corrections, Exempt) Supv.-Office Automation 13 16 18201-05269 Support Services (Retitle to new class titled Supv. Project Office and Software Training, Exempt) Chairperson, on behalf of the Personnel Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. There were no objections. $w FISCAL NOTE (M.R. #98028) March 19, 1998 BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, SUE ANN DOUGLAS, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - SALARY ADMINISTRATION FIRST QUARTERLY REPORT FOR FY 1998 TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XII-F of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds: 1. The Salary Administration Study Group has identified the reviews requested and the salary grade changes recommended by the Personnel Department. 2. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade placement changes for General Fund/General Purpose positions is $10,092 for FY1999 and $5,046 for the remainder of FY1998. 3. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade placement changes for Special Revenue Fund positions is $4,570 for FY 1999 and $2,285 for the remainder of FY1998. 4. Funding is available for the General Fund/General Purpose positions in the Classification and Rate Change Account. 5.
