PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Woodlynne Drainage Project
Job # 803 - 006
The Village of Bingham Farms constructed 642 feet of 12 and 15 inch storm sewer and
appurtenances to alleviate a drainage problem in the Woodlynne Subdivision. Heavy
soils and lack of adequate grade precluded sheet run-off of storm water to the
development's storm water detention basin. The resulting lack of drainage created
areas of stagnant water and nuisance drainage overflows to adjacent properties and
public streets. The project was constructed in dedicated drainage easements under
permit from the MDEQ for the crossing of a protected wetland area. The base project
cost was increased in order to accommodate traversing this wetland and insuring
minimal impact on this fragile environment
