FOR OVERHEAD AND UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC SERVICE IN FAVOR OF DETROIT
EDISON COMPANY, WHITE LAKE OAKS COUNTY PARK, TAX PARCEL 12-24-200-
007, WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP
To Oakland County Board Of Commissioners,
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, the County of Oakland, through its Parks and Recreation Commission owns
property located at 991 South Williams Lake Road, Union Lake, Michigan, known as White Lake
Oaks County Park; and
WHEREAS, the Detroit Edison Company is requesting an easement over County owned
property at White Lake Oaks County Park, identified as Tax Parcel 12-24-200-007, for the
construction, operation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and improvement of overhead and
underground electric utility lines; and
WHEREAS, the granting of the overhead and underground electrical easement will benefit
the County Park by providing electrical service to various locations within the park: and
WHEREAS, the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission, the Department of
Facilities Management and Corporation Counsel have reviewed the easement request
and recommends the granting of the easement; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
approves the grantin§ of this easement to Detroit Edison Company for the construction, operation,
maintenance, repair, replacement, and improvement of overhead and underground electric utilities
lines located over County-owned property identified as Tax Parcel 12-24-200-007; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners directs
its chairperson or its designee to execute the necessary documents to grant the easement to the
Detroit Edison Company.

Detroit Edison Overhead and Underground Easement (Right of Way) No. 214728J37
On , 2000 for the consideration of system betterment, Grantor grants to Grantee a permanent overhead
and underground easement ("Right of Way") in, on and across a part of Grantor's Land called the "Right of Way Area."
"Grantor" is:
The County of Oakland, a Michigan Constitutional Corporation
2800 Watkins Lake Road, Waterford, MI 48328
"Grantee" is:
The Detroit Edison Company, a Michigan corporation, 2000 Second Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48226
White Lake
"Grantor's Land" is in Township of4iiiliplilianios, Oakland County, Michigan described as:
SEE EXHIBIT "A". Sidwell No. 12-24-200-007, also known as White Lake Oaks County Park.
The "Right of Way Area" is a part of Grantor's Land and is described as:
As indicated on the Detroit Edison Company survey drawing, job number 9903068 dated March 16, 1999 which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof. The width of the overhead easement is twelve (12) feet. The width of the underground easement is
(10) feet.
1. Purpose: The purpose of this Right of Way is to construct, reconstruct, modify, add to, operate and maintain underground
utility line facilities consisting of poles, guys, anchors, wires, manholes, conduits, pipes, cables, transformers and accessories.
2. Access: The Grantee shall, upon providing reasonable notice to the manager of White Lake Oaks County Park, have reasonable
access to and from the right of way area for purposes of construction, reconstruction, modification, addition to, operation and
maintenance of said utility line facilities.
3. Buildings or other Permanent Structures: No buildings or other permanent structures are allowed in the Right of Way Area
without Grantee's prior written consent.
4. Excavation: Under 1974 Public Act 53, you must call MISS DIG (1-800-482-7171) before excavating in the Right of Way
Area.
5. Trees, Bushes, Branches, Roots, Structures and Fences: Grantee may trim, cut down, remove or otherwise control any trees,
bushes, branches and roots in the Right of Way Area (or that could grow into the Right of Way Area) and remove structures and
fences in The Right of Way Area that Grantee believes could interfere with the safe and reliable construction, operation and
maintenance of Grantee's facilities. No trees, plant life, structures and fences can be planted, grown or installed within 8 feet of
the front door and within 2 feet of the other sides of transformers and switching‘tabinet enclosures. Grantee will not be responsible
to Grantor for damages to or removal of trees, plant life, structures and fences placed in front of transformer doors.
6. Restoration: If Grantee's employees, contractors, vehicles or equipment damage Grantor's Land while entering Grantor's Land
for the purposes stated in this Right of Way, then Grantee will restore Grantor's Land as nearly as can be to its original condition.
7. Successors: This Right of Way runs with the land and binds and benefits Grantor's and Grantee's successors and assigns.
8. Exempt under MCL 207.505 (a) and MCL 207.526 (a)
9. Reversion: In the event that the easement area herein granted ceases to be utilized for electrical utility purposes, said easement
shall revert to the ownership and control of the grantor.

EASEMENT DESCRIPTION
A pole line easement on, over, under and across a 12 foot wide strip of land being part of the Northeast 34 of
Section 24, Town 3 North, Range 8 East, White Lake Township, Oakland County, Michigan.
Described by its centerline as: Commencing at the North X Corner of Section 24; thence North 8851'59"
East, 2130.15 feet along the north line of said Section 24 to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South
48'36'47" West, 468.36 feet to a point hereafter known as Point A; thence South 47'20'31" West, 500.87 feet
to o point hereafter known as Point 8; thence South 17'30'35" East, 240.30 feet to a point hereafter known as
Point C; thence South 64'01'35" West, 460.38 feet to a point hereafter known as Point 0; thence South
01'30'21" East, 963.76 feet to a point hereafter known as Point E; thence South 1211'21" East, 313.42 feet to
a point hereafter known as Point F; thence South 69'38'36" West, 241.44 feet to a point hereafter known as
Point G and the point of ending.

bushes, or branches in the easement that Edison believes could interfere with the operation and maintenance
of its facilities. No buildings, structures or other encroachments shall be placed In the easement without
Edison's prior written consent.
Also two 15 foot wide tree trimming easements, lying adjacent to and parallel with each side of the pole line
easement, for the right to trim or cut down any trees, bushes, or branches that Edison believes could interfere
with or grow to the point of interfering with the operation and maintenance of existing or future Edison
facilities in the pole line easement.
