HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 2000.07.20 - 26023June 15, 2000 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #00158 BY: Personnel Committee, Thomas Law, Chairperson IN RE: PERSONNEL/HUMAN RESOURCES - SALARY ADMINISTRATION THIRD QUARTERLY REPORT FOR FY2000 TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Salary Administration Study Group Reports approved by the Board of Commissioners for Grades 1 - 21 provide for a process for departments and employees requesting a review of the salary grade placement of classifications; and WHEREAS the Third Quarterly Report for FY2000 identifies the reviews requested and the salary grade changes recommended by the Personnel Department after completion of this review process; and WHEREAS funds have been established in the Classification and Rate Change fund to implement salary grade changes resulting from Salary Administration Quarterly Report recommendations; and WHEREAS additional funding is available in the federal HUD grant funds for the salary grade change for the Special Revenue position in Community & Home Improvement. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland Board of Commissioners authorizes implementation of the Salary Administration Third Quarterly Report for FY2000, which includes the following personnel actions: Classification Office Supv II (52/3 District Court) Create new class titled Assistant District Court Administrator, OT Non-Exempt Salary Grade From: To: Location-Position 10 13 32401-02684 Administrator-Equalization 19 20 12501-05842 Industrial Org/Psychologist 14 15 15402-00109 Chief - Comm & Home Improvement 16 17 19611-01708 Chief Court Service Officer/FOC 13 13 31201-01363 (Circuit Court/FOC) Retitle to Chief Circuit Court Investigator, OT Non-Exempt Substance Abuse Program Analyst 11 11 16261-01919 (Health/Substance Abuse) 16261-06114 Change eight positions to OT 16261-07152 Non-Exempt 16261-07386 16261-07398 16261-07499 16261-07500 16261-09026 Substance Abuse Program Analyst 11 11 16261-05592 (Health/Substance Abuse) Retitle one position to new class of Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator, OT Non-Exempt BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator classification be an exception to Merit Rule 2.10.1.2 as it pertains to eligibility for overtime for more than eight hours worked in a day. The Personnel Department, with approval from the Board of Commissioners, provides a process for departments and employees requesting a review of the salary grade placement classifications for Grades 1-21. 2. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade changes for General Fund/General Purpose positions is $16,676 for FY 2001 and $2,566 for the remainder of FY 2000. 3. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade changes for the Special Revenue position in Community & Home Improvement is $4,479 for FY 2001 and $689 for the remainder of FY 2000. 4. Funds have been established in the Classification and Rate Change fund to implement salary grade changes resulting from the Salary Administration Quarterly Report recommendations. 5. Funding for the Special Revenue position in Community & Home Improvement is available from federal HUD grant funds. 6. The FY 2000 budget is amended as follows.
