Law, Chairperson IN RE: PERSONNEL/HUMAN RESOURCES - SALARY ADMINISTRATION THIRD QUARTERLY REPORT FOR FY 2001 TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Salary Administration Study Group Reports approved by the Board of Commissioners for Grades 1 - 21 provide for a process for departments and employees to request a review of the salary grade placement of classifications; and WHEREAS the Third Quarterly Report for FY2001 identifies the reviews completed and the salary grade changes recommended by the Personnel Department after completion of this review process; and WHEREAS funds have been established in the Classification and Rate Change fund to implement salary grade changes for GF/GP positions resulting from Salary Administration Quarterly Report recommendations; and WHEREAS additional funding is available in Community & Home Improvement grant funds, Information Technology funds, Drain funds and Friend of the Court funds for classification changes in those areas. FISCAL NOTE (MR #01187) August 2, 2001 BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, SUE ANN DOUGLAS, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: PERSONNEL/HUMAN RESOURCES - SALARY ADMINISTRATION THIRD QUARTERLY REPORT FOR FY 2001 TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XII-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds: 1. The Personnel Department, with approval from the Board of Commissioners, provides a process for departments and employees requesting a review of the salary grade placement classifications for Grades 1 - 21. 2. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade placement changes for General Fund/General Purpose positions is $7,741 for FY 2002 (informational only) and $893 for the remainder of FY 2001. 3. The annual cost of the recommended salary grade placement changes for the Special Revenue/Proprietary Revenue positions is $44,282 for FY 2002 (informational only) and $5,109 for the remainder of FY 2001. 4. Funds have been established in the Classification and Rate Change fund to implement salary grade changes resulting from the Salary Administration Quarterly Report recommendations. 5. Additional funding is available in Community & Home Improvement grant funds, Information Technology funds, Drain funds and Friend of the Court fund for classification changes in those areas. 6. The FY 2002 amounts will be included in an amendment to the Executive's Recommended Budget. 7.
