Re: Recall Election on Monday, June 9, 1975
Dear Sir:
Enclosed are the following:
1. Three copies of the Return of Elkton Inspectors for each precinct.
The results should be written out in words on the lines and in numbers in
the parentheses. The Returns should be distributed as follows
(a) Each board of election inspectors will place one Return
of Election Inspectors and one poll book in an envelope
addressed to the County Clerk.
(b) Each board of election inspectors will place one Return of
Election Inspectors and one Tally Sheet in an envelope
addressed to your County Board of Canvassers.
(c) Each board of election inspectors shall return the remaining
copy of the Return of Election Inspectors to the school board.
This copy is then to be returned to our office.
After the returns are counted by the Board of Election Inspectors the
night of the election, the envelopes addressed to the County Clerk and the
County Board of Canvassers must be delivered to the secretary of the board
of education. The secretary of your board must deliver both envelopes to the
County Clerk. The County Board of Canvassers is to meet within five (5)
days following the election to canvass the votes.
