Patterson, Chairperson RE: Board of Commissioners — Oakland County Senior Summit Task Force — Reauthorization and Reappointment TO: Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS„ the Oakland County Board of Commissioners authorized the formation of the Oakland County Senior Summit Task Force, with the adoption of Miscellaneous Resolution #00166, to develop a coordinated plan for the senior citizens in Oakland County; and WHEREAS, the Rules for Oakland County Board of Commissioners, Article VIII.E, provides that, "Committees shall expire at the close of the Board of Commissioners term:" and WHEREAS, the Senior Summit Task Force, formed during the previous session, expired as of December 31, 2000. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Oakland County Board of Commissioners does hereby find that it would be in the best interest of Oakland County residents to allow the reauthorization of the Senior Summit Task Force and the reappointment of its membership, as originally established in Miscellaneous Resolution #00166. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners and the Oakland County Executive shall reappoint the members of the Senior Summit Task Force, enabling them to complete their original mission. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the General Government Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. AYES: Brian, Buckley, Causey-Mitchell, Coleman, Crawford, Dingeldey, Douglas, Galloway, Garfield, Gregory, Law, McPherson, Melton, Millard, Moffitt, Moss, Obrecht, Patterson, Sever, Suarez, Taub, Webster, Appel. (23) NAYS: None. (0) A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolutions on the Consent Agenda were adopted, with accompanying reports being accepted.
