Dear Mr. Ott:
RE: Environmental Infrastructure Fund Reimbursement
Enclosed are copies of expenses incurred by Brandon Charter Township
from FY 1999 and FY2000 for projects involving environmental remediation or
improvements relating to ground and/or surface water, water supply, sewer and/or
drainage systems and/or water pollution control efforts.
I have enclosed a copy of a resolution passed by the Brandon Charter
Township Board on July 19a, 1999 authorizing the Township Supervisor to request
reimbursement for eligible environmental remediation or improvement project
expenses under Oakland County's Environmental Infrastructure Fund Program.
You will notice several invoices referencing Thomas Amos, or 46 Cedar
Street. These invoices are the results of a gasoline spill that occurred from an
underground fuel storage tank on Township property. Thousands of dollars have
been spent by the Township in an effort to clean this spill. In addition to cleaning
the containment's in the soil by this fuel spill, Brandon Charter Township, in a
meditated settlement, purchased property damaged by the spill.
Brandon Charter Township is currently working on a sewer project, you will
see several invoices referencing this project.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding Brandon Townships
request for reimbursements, please contact my office.
