HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 2001.09.06 - 26667MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #01218 September 6, 2001 By: FINANCE COMMITTEE, SUE ANN DOUGLAS, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET / EQUALIZATION DIVISION - APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT ONE TO CONTRACT FOR OAKLAND COUNTY EQUALIZATION DIVISION ASSISTANCE SERVICES WITH THE CITY OF ROYAL OAK To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, Oakland County and the City of Royal Oak acknowledge the existence of an Agreement for Equalization Division Assistance Services executed on July 17, 2000, which expires on June 30, 2002, and said parties wish to modify the original agreement keeping intact the original terms and conditions, and amend it as follows: The County agrees to convert the commercial and industrial files of the City of Royal Oak to the master appraisal system of Oakland County and to electronically enter the records into the master appraisal system. This does not include establishing the following: land values, Economic Condition Factors (ECF), or the final value of the property. The County will not conduct field inspections for accuracy of existing data. The cost of said services is $13,650. Payment shall be due and payable on or before December 31, 2001. WHEREAS, approval of the amendment is required from the Board of Commissioners. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners hereby approves Amendment one to the Contract for Oakland County Equalization Division Assistance services with the City of Royal Oak; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners' Chairperson is authorized to sign the said Amendment one, copies of which are attached; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oakland County receive and file the executed Amendment one and forward a same to the Secretary of State as required by law. Clerk shall copy of the I move the AMENDMENT 1 TO CONTRACT FOR OAKLAND COUNTY EQUALIZATION DIVISION ASSISTANCE SERVICES WITH THE CITY OF ROYAL OAK, MICHIGAN Oakland County, a Michigan Constitutional Corporation ("County"), 1200 North Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48341 and the City of ROYAL OAK, a Michigan Constitutional and Municipal Corporation ("Municipality") whose address is 211 Williams, P.O. Box 64, Royal Oak, Michigan 48068-0064 entered into a contract for assistance services on July 1, 2000. The County and the Municipality acknowledge the existence of the Original Agreement executed on July 17, 2000, which expires on June 30, 2002. The County and the Municipality wish to modify the Original Agreement keeping intact the original terms and conditions, and amend it as follows: The County agrees to convert the commercial and industrial files of the City of Royal Oak to the master appraisal system of Oakland County and to electronically enter the records into the master appraisal system. Cowan, Mayor of the City of Royal Oak, hereby acknowledges that he has been authorized by a resolution of the City Commission of Royal Oak, a certified copy of which is attached, to execute this Amendment to Contract on behalf of the Municipality and hereby accepts and binds the Municipality to the terms and conditions of this Amendment to Contract.
