Chairperson, on behalf of the Personnel Committee, I move the acceptance of the foregoing report. Personnel Committee Vote: Motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote with Amos absent PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #02311 December 12, 2002 BY: Public Services Committee, Hugh D. Crawford, Chairperson IN RE: Sheriffs Department-Contract Amendment #4 for Law Enforcement Services in the Charter Township of Oxford 1999-2003 To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS Charter Township of Oxford has contracted with the Oakland County Sheriffs Department to provide law enforcement services for the Township (M.R.#00001); and WHEREAS paragraph 23 of this contract provides that an amendment to this contract must be approved by concurrent resolutions of both the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and the Oxford Township Board; and WHEREAS Charter Township of Oxford has approved a proposed amendment to the contract (Schedule A and A-1 ,Sheriffs Deputies Contracted) which would add one (1) Deputy ll (no-fill) making the new total of two (2) Deputy II (no-fill) and bring the total number of contracts to fifteen (15); and WHEREAS the Sheriff has agreed to add one (1) Deputy II (no-fill) for the Charter Township of Oxford under the terms of this contract. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves an amendment to the original Schedule A and A-1 (Sheriff Deputies Contracted) of the Oakland County Sheriffs Department 1999-2003 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Oxford to add one (1) Deputy II (no-fill). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that one (1) Deputy II position be created in the Contracted Patrol Unit, Patrol Services Division of the Sheriffs Department. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this amendment will take effect on January 1, 2003. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. Law, Chairperson Oakland County Board of Commissioners EXECUTED: OAKLAND COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT 1991-2003 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF OXFORD Amendment 4 Pursuant to paragraph 23 of the 1999-2003 Law Enforcement Services Agreement between the COUNTY and CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF OXFORD, the parties hereby agree to amend said contract in accordance with the attached Schedule A-1. All other contractual provisions, of the 1999-2003 Law Enforcement Services Agreement r,ot otherwise affected by the attached Schedule A-1, remain in full force an effect. FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual assurances, promises, acknowledgments, set forth in this Amendment 4 to the 1999-2003 Law Enforcement Services Agreement, ("Amendment") and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned hereby execute this Amendment on behalf of the Parties, and by doing so legally obligate and bind the Parties to the terms and conditions of this Contract. The Charter Township of Oxford has requested an amendment to the contract between the Charter Township of Oxford and the Oakland County Sheriff for law enforcement services beginning January 1, 2003. 2.
