Telegraph, Dept. 403 Pontiac, MI 48341-0403 Dear Mr. Soave: In November of 1999 Commerce Township requested Environmental Infrastructure money for the year 1999 and 2000. In talking to Roy Lake today he indicated that only 1999 money was appropriated. Roy suggested that I send a copy of the letter indicating our request to you and see if you can let us know why the 2000 Environmental Infrastructure money was not appropriated. I have attached a copy of the letter that was sent to Mr. Tom Ott, who I understand has retired, along with the resolution dedicating the Infrastructure money. Once you have looked this over please give me a call at 248-960-7069. Thank you for your help in this matter. Telegraph Pontiac, MI 48341 RE: Environmental Infrastructure Fund Dear Mr. Ott: Commerce Township has had a water project in mind for the past two years. Our problem is "Money." See attached Cost Opinion. The project is to eliminate three public wells, which are very expensive to upkeep and on the top priority list for the Oakland County Drain Commission list to simply go away. The well site is located in section 6 of Commerce Township in the Wildwood Subdivision. Commerce has a 16' main 1,473 feet from this subdivision. Here's how it would work: Year 1999- $117,321.87 1 Year - Environmental Infrastructure Fund Year 2000 - 117,321.87 2nd Year - Environmental Infrastructure Fund 37,000.00 Capital charge to the resident 104,401.26 Water maintenance fund $376,045.00 Total Project Commerce is prepared to go out for bids. We have a petition from the residents for the capital charges and we are prepared to advance the funds from our improvement revolving fund.
