IN RE: ENVIRONMENTAL INFRASTRUCTURE FUND REIMBURSEMENT FOR PROJECT IN
THE CITY OF FARMINGTON - FISCAL YEAR 2001, FISCAL YEAR 2002 AND FISCAL
YEAR 2003 ALLOCATIONS
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners established an
Environmental InfraF,trurturP Funds and Disbursement Policy per
\41sce.1raneo-As Resolution #99093 in an effort to increase the share of
dollars flowing into infrastructure projects for the County and its
cities, villages and townships (CVTs); and
WHEREAS pursuant to the Disbursement Policy, cue City of
Farmington has submitted a resolution of authorization to the County
for reimbursement of expenses incurred in connection with an eligible
environment remediation of improvement project; and
WHEREAS the City of Farmington is requesting reimbursement for
expenses directly related to the Sanitary Sewer Interceptor
Rehabiltation Project; and
WHEREAS the FY 2001, FY 2002 and FY 2003 authorized amount of
funding for the City of Farmington is $42,456.64 annually from the
Environmental 7 nfrastrnr -lire Fund as repayment to the City of
Farmington for expenses incurred in connection with environmental
remediation or improvement projects.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners approves the project submitted by the City of Farmington
as eligible for reimbursement from the Environmental
Fund.
BE :T FUR:HER RESOLVED that the Board authorizes a FY 2001, FY
2032 and FY 2003 appropriation in the amount of $42,456.64 annually
from. the Environmental Infrastructure Fund (Account #90-263238-41000-
39#5) to repay the City of Farmington for expenses incurred in
connection with environmental remediation or improvement projects, once
proper invoices are presented.

Regarding: Environmental Infrastructure Fund Reimbursement
City of Farmington
Sanitary Interuptor Rehabilitation Project
Dear Manager:
On October 21, 2002, the City Council of the City of Farmington approved a resolution to partially fund
the Sanitary Interceptor Rehabilitation Project through the Environmental Infrastructure Fund (ELF). The
City of Farmington is requesting reimbursement from the EIF totaling $151,971,54 for some of the
construction costs for the Sanitary Interceptor Rehabilitation Project. The construction costs incurred to
date total $639,253.10. The requested amount matches the remaining funds in the Elf allocated to the
City of Farmington.
Included with the letter are Council Resolution No. 10-02-859 as described above, the construction
estimate outlining the incurred construction costs, and the check issued by Farmington. Please feel free to
contact Christine Cale or me at (248) 324-5200 if any further information is necessary to process the
reimbursement.

RESOLUTION NO. _10-02459
RESOLUTION FOR PARTIAL FUNDING OF THE SANITARY
INTERCEPTOR REHABILITATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the construction has begun on the rehabilitation of the City sanitary
interceptor pipe connecting the City of Farmington to the City of Detroit sanitary system,
and
WHEREAS, the project costs for design and construction to the City of
Farmington are estimated at $2.5 million, and
WHEREAS, funds are available to the City of Farmington from Oakland County
through the Environmental infrastructure Fund for repair to the failing sanitary
interceptor pipe, and
WHEREAS, the Sanitary Interceptor Rehabilitation Project is eligible for funding
through the Environmental Infrastructure Fund, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Farmington finance, in
part, the Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation Project through the Environmental
Infrastructure Fund from Oakland County, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Farmington Department of Public Services
apply for reimbursement from the Environmental Infrastructure Fund from Oakland
County in the amount of $151,971.54 for the Sanitary Interceptor Rehabilitation Project.

Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XII-C of this Board, the Finance Committee, has
reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds:
1. Annual funding of $42,456.64 is avaiiable in the Environmental
Infrastructure Fund for FY 2001, FY 2002 and FY 2003 to reimburse
the City of Farmington for this project; no additional appropriation
is required.
2. The Committee recommends adoption of the resolution.
