IN RE: SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ESTABLISHMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
CONTRACT OVERTIME RATES - JANUARY 1, 2004 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008
To the Oa'Adand County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and ':.entlemen:
WHEREAS it is the 7)olicy or the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners to authorize the Lherift's Office to enter into
contractual agreements with various communities and organizations for
the purpose of providing deputies for tra_Mc and security assignments
:(7.: various activities and events; and
WAE3EAS the Sheriff's Office will provide- assistance based on the
availabili_ry of 'officers at the app:opriate :overtime rate and will
invoice the requestind agency at rates established by the 6card of
Commisslorers; arit
WHEREAs 0=trme rate Lave been developed for the perioa January
1, 2304 tnrcugh December 31, 2008; anc
WHEREAS the Beard of Commissioners desires to have rates
consistent with tno :Jaw Enforcement Patrol Sorvices Contract rates for
governmental urlit3 within Oakland County as a service to its citizenry,
and rates whicn conform to estimated costs for all non-Oakland County
communitios and organizacrons.
co; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland CountY Board of
Commissioners establishes the following hourly overtime rates for the
period aanuary 1, 2064, t'lla'agh December 31, 2065, for each officer for
the prpose of providing contracted traffir and security services:

BE IT F'...:RCHER RESOLVE:3 that contracts for Sheriff's Traffic and

is under contro,ctual agreement for Sheriff's Law Enforcement Patrol
Services, may be entered into at the prevailing, established oontraot
overtime rates, upon the review and approval of the Management and
Budget Department. Such approvai or disapprovai of mini-contracts wili
be provided to the Eublie Services Committee on a semi -annual basis.

IN RE: SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ESTABLISHMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT
OVERTIME RATES - JANUARY 1, 2004 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule X1-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has
reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds:
1. Miscellaneous Resolution #98012 authorized the establishment of Law
Enforcement Services contract overtime rates for the period January
1, 1999 through December 31, 2003.
2. This resolution establishes Law Enforcement Services contract
overtime rates for the sixty (60) month period January 1, 2004
through December 31, 2008.
3. The proposed contract rates cover direct operational costs.
4. Revenues for the period January 1, 2004 through September 30, 2004
will be adjusted accordingly with the FY 2004 second quarter
forecast based upon the renewal of existing contracts.
5. No budget amendment is required at this time,
