Crawford, Mairperson IN RE: SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ESTABLISHMENT OF DISPATCH SERVICES CONTRACT RATES - JANUARY 1, 2004 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008 To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS it is the policy of the Cakiand County Board of Commissioners to authorize the Sheriff's Office to enter into contractual agreements Kith vario'as communities and organizations for the pu:pou of providin7 dispatch services; and wHLaETic dispatch costs have been estimated for the period 2004 through 2:7:03 pursuant 7C: the increase in the Law Enforcement Contract rates; and WELREAS the Board of Commissioners desires to have rates consistent with the Law Enforcement Patrol Services Contract rates for covernmental unLts within Oakland County as a service to its citizenry. NOW TEEREFORL BE IT RESOLVE= that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners esLablishes the following per call fire and police dispatch service rates for the period January 1, 20:34, through December 2C38: 2035C ties: 2304 Fire DiE:patcl-L/ Per call $18.120 Police Dispatch/ Per FIE per year. FISCAL NOTE {MR. #03267) October 2, 2002 BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, CHUCK MOSS, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ESTABLISHMENT OF DISPATCH SERVICES CONTRACT RATES - JANUARY 1, 2004 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008 TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OP COMMISSIONERS Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XII-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds: 1. Miscellaneous Resolution 498013 authorized the establishment of Dispatch Services contract rates for the period January 1, 1999 through December 31, 2003. 2. This resolution establishes Dispatch Services contract rates for the sixty (60) month period January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2008. 3. The proposed contract rates cover direct operational costs. 4. Rates could change if the consolidated Primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) program moves forward. 5. The FY 2004 Budget includes these rates, therefore no budget amendment is required at this time. Finance Committee of-/ker 404:0 FINANCE COMMITTEE: Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote. Resolution #03267 September 28, 2003 The Chairperson referred the resolution to the Finance Committee. There were no objections. Resolution #03267 October 02, 2003 Moved by Crawford supported by Coleman the resolution be adopted. Moved by Crawford supported by Coleman supported the Finance Committee Report be accepted. A sufficient majority having voted therefore, the report was accepted. Moved by Crawford supported by Middleton the resolution be amended to coincide with the recommendation in the Finance Committee Report. A sufficient majority having voted therefore, the motion carried.
