Palmer, Chairperson IN RE: CENTRAL SERVICES - DONATION OF A VEHICLE TO THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE CREST CENTER To the Oakland County Coach of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Centlemen: WHEREAS Oakland Community College (OM Regional Emergency Services train ing (CREST) center which simulated city equipped with traffic signa:s, paved streets, motel, convenience store/gas station, school and three at the college's Auburn Hills Campus; and WHEREAS it is toe only centei in WHEREAS the CREST facility is largely funded through donations; and WHEREAS CREST is in need of a patrol vehicle for training of Oakland County Sheriff's Pepartment and local law enforcement agencies; and WHEREAS County Purchasing Procedures state that after a department/division determines an item no longer useful to its operation, that the appropriate method of disposal should be determined; and WHEREAS Oakland County Central Services has a patrol vehicle which will be disposed of at the next county auction; and WHEREAS OCC is willing to accent such vehicle and will be responsible for all costs associated with maintenance of the equipment; and WHEREAS enhance training of law enforcement will benefit all Oakland County residents. NOW THEREFORE DE II RES=ED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves the donation of one patrol vehicle to the OCC CHEST center. Chairperson, on behalf of the Planning & Building Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. PLANN=NO & E3UICDING COMMITTEE Planning & Building Commtttee Vote: Motion carried on unanimous roll call vote OAKLAND operates a furnished bank, homes the Midwest that provides opportunities for joint training of law enforcement, fire and emergency medical personnel in real-life emergency and anti-terrorist scenarios; and FISCAL NOTE (MISC. #03295) October 30, 2003 BY: Finance Committee, Chuck Moss, Chairperson IN RE: IN RE: CENTRAL SERVICES - DONATION OF A VEHICLE TO THE OAKLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE CREST CENTER To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XI-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds: 1. The county vehicle and equipment, which are scheduled for auction, are valued at $7,500. 2. A transfer from the General fund to the Motorpool fund will offset the donation of the equipped vehicle. 3. The following budget amendment is recommended to the FY 2004 Adopted Budget: General Fund 90-310000-98661-800l Transfer to Mctorpool Fund $7,500 90-290000-27030-2564 Contingency (7,500) - 0 - Motorpool Fund 13-661003-981C1-1701 transfer from General Fund $7,500 13-661001-00010-1660 Gain /(Loss) on sale of vehicle (7,500) - - FINANCE COMMITTEE FINANCE COMMITTEE Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Gregory, Crawford, and Webster absent.
