CONTINUATION (SCAO) GRANT AMENDMENT #1
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the 52'd District Court, Division IV (Troy) received a grant
award contract amendment from the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO),
Michigan Drug Court Grant Program increasing program funding and extending
the grant funding period from September 30, 2006 through September 30, 2007;
and
WHEREAS the total original SCAO award of $35,000 is now increased by
$18,000 to $53,000, which includes $3,000 to be used to reimburse direct
personnel costs related to data input into the Drug Court Case Management
Information System (DCCMIS). Also, a 256 matching funds requirement of
$4,500 is not stated in this amendment but is indicated to be required, with
$900 as required cash match, to be met by general fund in-kind contribution;
and
WHEREAS the contract amendment has been approved in accordance with the
County Executive's Review Process.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners accepts the State Court Administrative Office, Michigan Drug
Court Program Amendment #1 in the amount of $22,500, which includes $18,000
from the State, $3,600 in County in-kind match, and $900 of required County
cash matching funds, also to be met by general fund in-kind support.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Board of
Commissioners is authorized to execute the contract agreement and that the
chairperson may approve amendments and extensions up to fifteen (15%) percent
variance from the award, consistent with the original agreement as approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that continuation of the existing positions
associated with this grant is contingent upon continuation of state funding.
Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Committee, I move
adoption of the foregoing resolution.

This will amend the agreement made October 1, 20015, between the Michigan Supreme
Court, State Court Administrative Office and the 52-4 District Court, 520 W. Big Beaver, Troy,
MI 48084.
Section IV. TERMS OF CONTRACT of this Ageerni ent shall be amended to read as
indicated below. The terms of this Agreement shall in other respects remain unchanged and
remain in effect.
The grant amount listed on page cme of the Michigan Drug Court Grant Program 2006
Grant Contract shall be amended to read: Grant Amount: $'p3,000. The terms of this Agreement
shall in other respects remain unchanged and remain in eiTe4t. It should be noted that the 25%
Cash/In-Kind match requirements by this contract are not inOluded in the grant amount of
$50.000. The additional 53,000 of the FY 2006 award will be used to reimburse direct
personnel costs related to data input into the Drug Court Case Management Information System
(DCCMIS). The MaXiII111111 rate for persolnel costs related tO DCCMIS data input under this
agreement is $15 per hour and expenses will be reimbursed Once proper documentation is
received by SCAO.
IV. TERMS OF CONTR4CT
4.01 The contract shall he effective upon signature of the State Court Administrator or
Deputy State Court Administrator when :.i.a-ned by the authorizing official and shall termir ate on
September 30, 2007, unless terminated earlier. Grantee understands that funding under this
Contract does not provide for future funding from the Michigan Drug Court Grant Program.
This Amendment to Contract No. S CA0-2006-036 tietween the 52-4 District Court and
the Michigan Supreme Court, State Court Administrative Office, is entered into on Augus: 24,
2006.

CONTINUATION (SCAO) GRANT AMENDMENT #1 ACCEPTANCE
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XII-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has
reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds:
1. The 52nd District Court, Division IV (Troy) has received a grant
contract amendment to their FY 2006 State Court Administrative
Office (SCAO), Michigan Drug Court Program grant award, extending
the period of performance from September 30, 2006 through
September 30, 2007.
2. The award from SCAO is for an additional $18,000, increasing the
FY 2006 award from $35,000 to $53,000 along with an implied 25%
General Fund cash match of $900 from in-kind program support.
3. The required cash match will be met by in-kind program support
and is currently budgeted in the FY 2007 52-4 District Court
budget, and designated as Drug Treatment Court Fees (account
630565).
4. The grant contract amendment will continue to fund one (1)
special revenue part-time-non-eligible Probation Officer
position (3020505-09716) for $18,000 within the Probation unit.
5. In addition to the County match requirements, the County is
expected to incur administrative and support costs of $1,472 for
FY 2007, which has been included in the FY 2007 budget. This
grant does not allow for recovery of those costs.
6. A budget amendment to the FY 2007 Special Revenue Fund budget is
recommended as follows to accept Amendment #1 to the FY 2006
grant funding award from SCAO, for the 52-4 District Court Drug
Court grant:
