Long Lake Road Bloomfield Hills, Michigan 48304. Mayor Sherr opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 033-2016 Auditing Services - RFP Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner McCarthy, the city commission approve the recommendation of the Finance Director / Treasurer Karen Ruddy to award a three-year contract to Plante & Moran for auditing services as a result of the RFP process. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 034-2016 Resolution honoring Frank Lewis Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner McCarthy, the city commission adopt a resolution honoring Frank Lewis’ service on the zoning board of appeals. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 036-2016 Annual Meeting / Public Hearing – 2016 – 2017 Budget Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner Dul, the city commission open the public hearing to discuss the 2016 – 2017 budget. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. Finance Director / Treasurer Karen Ruddy presented the proposed 2016 – 2017 budget. Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner Dul, the city commission close the public hearing to discuss the 2016 – 2017 budget. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner Dul, the city commission adopt the 2016 – 2017 budget as presented. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 037-2016 2015 – 2016 Budget Amendment Resolution Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner McCarthy, the city commission adopt the 2015 – 2016 budget amendment resolution. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 039-2016 Memo on DPW site screening from City Manager Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner Dul, the city commission approve the expenditure up to $10,000 to add evergreen and landscape screening and seed to enhance the DPW property. Ayes-3 Nays-1 (Sherr) Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 040-2016 Memo from Chief Hendrickson – Parking Lot Improvements Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner Dul, the city commission approve option # 2 as detailed in the memo dated May 6, 2016 from Chief Hendrickson. Option # 2 is estimated at $35,000 and will last approximately 10 – 12 years. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 041-2016 Closed Session Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner McCarthy, the city commission move into closed session at 9:35 p.m. by way of a roll call vote to discuss union negotiations. Ayes-4 Nays-0 Absent-1 (Coakley) Motion Adopted. 042-2016 Open Session Motion by Commissioner McClure, supported by Commissioner Dul, the city commission move into open session at 9:55 p.m. by way of a roll call vote.
