JURY BOARD
MINUTES
May 25, 2016
Meeting called to order by President Bill Axtell at 9:35 a.m. in the Allen Family Conference Room,
Elections Division, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan.
Roll called.
JURY BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Axtell, Green. (2)
ABSENT: None. (0)
Quorum present.
Also Present: Joe Rozell, Director of Elections; Trevor Crank, Jury Board Administrative Employee;
Sheila Cummings, Deputy Clerk – Register of Deeds; and Lisa Brown, County Clerk – Register of Deeds.
Moved by Green supported by Axtell the minutes of the May 26, 2015 Jury Board be approved.
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved.
Moved by Green supported by Axtell the agenda be approved.
Vote on agenda:
AYES: Green, Axtell. (2)
NAYS: None. (0)
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the agenda was approved as printed.
The floor was opened for nominations for Board President.
Moved by Axtell supported by Green to nominate Joe Green as the Jury Board President.
There being no other nominations, nominations were closed.
Vote on Board President:
AYES: Axtell, Green. (2)
NAYS: None. (0)
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, Joe Green was elected Jury Board President.
The floor was opened for nominations for Board Secretary.
Moved by Green supported by Axtell to nominate Bill Axtell as the Jury Board Secretary.
There being no other nominations, nominations were closed.

Vote on Board Secretary:
AYES: Green, Axtell. (2)
NAYS: None. (0)
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, Bill Axtell was elected Jury Board Secretary.
Director of Elections Joe Rozell addressed the Jury Board regarding the possible purchase of new jury
software and new SCAO procedures.
Discussion followed.
No one addressed the Jury Board during public comment.
The Jury Board adjourned at 9:48 a.m. to the call of the Board President or Chief Circuit Judge.
