MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSIONERS
CALL TO ORDER:
The Board of County Election Commissioners meeting was called to order by the Honorable Linda S.
Hallmark on March 6, 2017 at 10:13 a.m., in the Elections Division, Board of Canvassers/Training Room,
1st floor, West Wing Extension, 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341.
ROLL CALL:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Hallmark, Brown, Meisner. (3)
ABSENT: None. (0)
OTHERS PRESENT: Joseph J. Rozell, Director of Elections; Heather Kadulski, Elections Specialist;
Joellen Shortley, Deputy Corporation Counsel; Sandy Hughes O’Brien, Deputy County Clerk/Register of
Deeds and Fred Miller, Treasurer Community Liaison.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Moved by MEISNER seconded by HALLMARK to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Discussion followed.
Clerk Brown offered amendments to the September 9, 2016 Election Commission minutes.
Moved by HALLMARK seconded by MEISNER to approve the minutes of the September 9, 2016 Board
of County Election Commissioners Meeting, as amended. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. APPROVAL OF BALLOTS FOR THE MAY 2, 2017 ELECTION.
Discussion followed.
Judge Hallmark stated that sample ballots were submitted to the commissioners for approval.
The commissioners reviewed ballots submitted for Charter Township of West Bloomfield, Precinct 1 and
City of Troy, Precinct 24 & 25. Judge Hallmark asked for a motion to approve all ballots for the May 2,
2017 Special Election.
Moved by BROWN seconded by MEISNER that the ballots be approved. Motion carried.

Moved by BROWN seconded by MEISNER that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
Hallmark adjourned the meeting at 10:17 a.m.
