Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Gershenson, Jackson, Luebs, Markham, McGillivray, Miller, Nelson, Woodward, Zack. (9) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Powell, Quarles. (2) Quorum present. Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds, Lisa Brown addressed the Caucus regarding the Michigan Trial Court Funding Commission. Discussion followed. Moved by Miller seconded by Zack the minutes of the July 18, 2019 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Zack addressed the Caucus regarding Economic Growth and Infrastructure Committee item f: entitled: Economic Development and Community Affairs/Community and Home Improvement Division – 2019 Program Year (PY) Annual Action Plan and Consolidated Grant Application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership Grant (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). Discussion followed. Commissioner Woodward addressed the Caucus regarding tonight’s Democratic presidential primary debate. Commissioner Woodward addressed the Caucus regarding the Agenda for tonight’s Board of Commissioners Meeting. Proclamation: Bryan Barnett, Mayor Rochester Hills and Proclamation: Health Division/Measles rescheduled to a future date. Commissioner Miller addressed the Caucus regarding public response to Miscellaneous Resolution #19214 - Board of Commissioners – Declaration of Support for the Registered Nurses’ of Beaumont Royal Oak Right to Organize Without Coercion, Intimidation or Other Influence. Discussion followed. Democratic Caucus Minutes Continued. July 31, 2019 476 Commissioner Woodward addressed the Caucus regarding Commissioner Taub’s intent to discharge Miscellaneous Resolution #19248 - Board of Commissioners – Request Michigan’s Attorney General to Cease Efforts to Shutdown Enbridge Line 5. Discussion followed. Chris Ward, Board of Commissioners Chief of Staff addressed the Caucus regarding the Caucus Memo. Discussion followed. Commissioner Zack addressed the Caucus regarding the committee absence policy. Discussion followed. Commissioner McGillivray addressed the Caucus to wish Commissioner Markham a Happy Birthday. Commissioner McGillivray addressed the Caucus regarding a plan to set up meetings and ways to improve on communication.
