NON-HOMESTEAD BUILDING AND SITE MILLAGE Put figures
The whole number of votes given for and against the RENEWAL PROPOSITION in this column
This millage will allow the Oak Park School District to renew the Millage
previously levied on non-homestead property (business, commercial, rental and
seasonal homes) for maintenance, repairs, and replacements necessary to preserve
the condition of existing buildings and sites which expires with the 2001 tax
1 levy, and allow the School District to levy not more than the statutory millage 1 rate against non-homestead property required for the School District to receive
revenues at the full foundation allowance permitted by the State. The revenue
from this millage will be disbursed to the Oak Park School District.
In renewal of millage previously authorized by the electors of the School
District and which expires with the 2001 tax levy, shall the constitutional
limitation on the amount of taxes which may be levied against all non-
homestead property in the Oak Park School District, Oakland County, Michigan,
be increased by .4949 mills on each dollar ($.4949 on each 41,000) of
the assessed valuation, as finally equalized, of all property inthe
School District other than homestead property, for a period of seven (7)
years, from 2002 through 2008, both inclusive, which millage will raise,
if approved and levied in 2002, approximately One Hundred Fifty Thousand
-(4150,000.00) Dollars in increased revenues, to be disbursed to the Oak
