Re: Oakland Community College Regular Biennial Election, June 10, 2002
Dear Board Secretary:
On behalf of Oakland Community College we are forwarding to you a true copy of the
resolution of the Oakland Community College Board of Trustees calling its regular biennial
election for Monday, June 10, 2002. This is the same date as your district's regular school
election. Al this election, two (2) candidates will be elected to serve on the Oakland Community
College Board of Trustees. Oakland Community College is not placing any proposals on the
ballot.
As you know a portion of Goodrich Area Schools, which is included in the Mott
Community College District, was transferred to the Brandon School District. This portion of the
Brandon School District will remain in the Mott Community College District. Therefore, you
will need exclude from the Oakland Community College election that portion of your district
transferred from Goodrich Area Schools to the Brandon School District because this property
remains in the Mott Community College district.
To assist you in conducting this election, we are enclosing the following documents:
I. A calendar outline for this election.
2. Form of Notice of Last Day of Registration,
We will also publish the Notice of Last Day of Registration. Please forward a
copy of the affidavit of publication for publication of this Notice of Last Day of
Registration that you receive from your official newspaper to Phyllis Cribbis.
The Notice of Last Day of Registration must be published twice in a newspaper of
general circulation, the first publication to be no later than May 3, 2002.

3, Form of Affidavit of Posting Notice of Last Day of Registration.
As you may know, posting the Notice of Last Day of Registration is at the
discretion of the Secretary of the Board of Education of each school district. If
the Secretary of the Board of Education of your district deems it advisable to post
the Notice of Last Day of Registration in three (3) places in each precinct, please
have the individual who posts such notice complete the Affidavit of Posting
Notice of Last Day of Registration, ensure that the document is notarized, and
return it to Phyllis Cribbis.
4. Form of Notice of Election.
The Notice of Election, including the names of the candidates for the Oakland
Community College Board of Trustees, must be published by your district and
must identify each precinct and its location at which votes may be cast for the
Oakland Community College Trustees.
We will forward the names of the candidates to you in April,

the Oakland Community College Board of Trustees to your district's ballots. We
would appreciate it if you would contact Phyllis Cribbis with the name of the
printer you have chosen to print your district's ballots.
Additionally, we would like to proof Oakland Community College's portion of
your district's ballot. Please forward a proof to Phyllis Cribbis for review.

At a property transfer hearing on January 22, 2002, the Genesee Intermediate School District
approved the transfer of a parcel of land from the Goodrich Area Schools to the Brandon School
District. The effective date of the transfer is February 21, 2002. Please find enclosed a copy of
the transfer notice letter and maps from Mr. Thomas Svitkovich, Superintendent of the Genesee
Entermediate School District, to Mr. Robert DePalma, Groveland Township Supervisor, which

On January 22, 2002 a property transfer hearing was held to consider resolutions filed
requesting the transfer of a parcel of land from the Goodrich Area Schools to the Brandon
School District. The Genesee Intermediate School District Board of Education acted to

approve the resolutions transferring the property from the Goodrich Area Schools to Brandon
School District, effective in thirty days on February 21, 2002, as described below:
Part of the Northwest Fractional 114 of Section 2, T5N-RS, Groveland Township, Oakland
County, Michigan. Described as: Beginning at a point that is South, 353,00 feet along the
West Line of Section 2, and S88 degrees 19'24" E, 1,398.81 feet from the Northwest Corner
of Section 2; thence continue along said line, S88 degrees 19'24" E, 142.67 feet; thence SO!
degree 40'48"W, 310.94 feet; thence on non-tangent curve to the left having a radius of
260.00 feet, and arc length of 106.19 feet, and a chord bearing and distance of N76 degrees
37' 19"W, 105.46 feet; thence N88 degrees 19'24"W, 41.72 feet; thence NO2 degrees
08'22"E, 289.56 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 0.97 acres, more or less.

INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT REPORT AND MAP OF BOUNDARY CHANGES
ISD DUTY The School Code of 1976 requires each intermediate school district to prepare
and provide, biennially, maps showing boundaries of constituent school districts
and to report all other boundary changes, as well. The sections of the School
Code of 2976 setting forth these responsibilities of Intermediate school
districts are printed on the back of this sheet.
INSTRUCTIONS This form should be filled out and submitted along with appropriate map(s):
1) on July 1 of each odd numbered year. or 2) whenever the boundaries of school
districts are changed. Changes generally occur as a result of a property
transfer (MCLA 380.951 at seq.), annexation (MCLA 380.901 et seq.), or
consolidation (NCLA 380.851).
MAILING Copies of this report and map(s) should be sent to the following within 20 days
INSTRUCTIONS of a boundary change:
1. ONE copy to each of the affected school districts.
2. Two copies to the State Board of Education at the above address.

notification shall contain a map clearly indicating in detail the boundaries of
the affected uchooI -districts, before the alteration in boundaries and the
boundaries of the affected school districts as altered by the division of the

boards approve alterations in the boundaries of school districts, the hoard or

intermediate superintendent or the chairperson of the Joint boards shall be filed
