OPERATING MILLAGE RESTORATION PROPOSAL Put figures
The whole number of votes given for and against the NON-HOMESTEAD AND NON-QUALIFIED PROPERTY TAX in this column
This billage_Will allow the school distritt=to continue to leVy the:
statutory rate of 18 mills against non-homestead and non-qualified
agricultural property required for the school district to receive
its revenue per pupil foundation guarantee. I
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all
property, exempting therefrom homestead and qualified agricultural property as
defined by law, in Oxford Area Community Schools, Oakland and Lapeer Counties,
Michigan, be increased by 2 mills ($2.00 on each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation
for a period of 7 years, 2000 to 2006, inclusive, to provide fundsIor operating
purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the
village is approved and levied in calendar year 2000 is approximately $405,000
(this millage is to restore the "Headlee" reduction)?
