Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
The Legislative Affairs and Government Operations Committee, having reviewed the appointment by the
County Executive of Leigh -Anne Stafford as Director of Health and Human Services effective February
28, 2021, recommends concurrence of this appointment, pursuant to Public Act 139 of 1973.

Oakland Counted Health Division
Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a comprehensive County -wide public health program. Key
administrative responsibilities include the following:
* Promote public health programs, legislation and regulations beneficial to public health services areas
* Analyze and interpret state and federal requirements, and ensure compliance by the Health Division
Confer with state health officials on various aspects of public health services
Represent the division in policy matters at departmental and Board of Commissions' meetings
® Authorize Final budget proposals, review budget modification requests, and search for alternative sources of funding
Leads and promotes development of collaborative groups to address complex public health issues

Please be advised that acting pursuant to PA 139 of 1973, 1 hereby appoint Leigh -Anne
Stafford to the position of Director of Health and Human Services of Oakland County.
The appointment shall become effective February 18, 2021 and is terminable at the pleasure
of the County Executive.
