HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 2021.07.29 - 34762 OAKLAND COUNTY VEBA BOARD MINUTES The Oakland County Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association (VEBA) Board meeting was held July 29, 2021 at 2:54 p.m. in Committee Room A, Board of Commissioners. I. Call to Order/ Roll Call Members Present: James VanLeuven Jr., Joseph Rozell, Dave Woodward, Lauri Siskind, Robert Wittenberg, Jeff Phelps, April Lynch, Brian Partogian Members Absent: Gwen Markham (with notice) Others Present: Carly Webster, Human Resources Lisa Villella, Human Resources Aaron Castle, VanOverbeke, Michaud & Timmony, P.C. Natalie Neph, Treasurer’s Office Chris Kuhn, AndCo Peter Brown, AndCo Louise Gates, Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Co. II. Approval of the Agenda A. Moved by Partogian, seconded by Siskind to approve the agenda as submitted. Motion carried. III. Public Comment None IV. Regular Agenda A. Moved by Woodward, seconded by Partogian to approve the minutes of June 17, 2021. Motion carried. V. Reports A. Chris Kuhn and Peter Brown of AndCo Consulting presented the following reports and provided comments summarizing highlights contained in each: • Oakland County Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) VEBA Monthly Flash Report Period Ending June 30, 2021 • Oakland County Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) VEBA Asset / Manager Summary Period Ending July 16, 2021 B. Aaron Castle of VanOverbeke, Michaud & Timmony, P.C. (VMT) provided a verbal update on legal matters. Moved by Lynch, seconded by Wittenberg to authorize legal counsel to file the Most Favored Nation (MFN) Election Form to Hamilton Lane Secondary Fund V LP on behalf of the Board. Motion carried. VI. Unfinished Business None Oakland County VEBA Board Minutes July 29, 2021 Page 2 VII. New Business A. Moved by Woodward, seconded by Lynch to approve the Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Co. (GRS) invoice No. 463516 in the amount of $2,306 for Minute Master Services CY 2020. Motion carried. B. Moved by Phelps, seconded by Siskind to approve the VMT invoices No. 10904 and 10903 in the combined amount of $2,997 for the 1st Quarter 2021. Motion carried. C. Moved by Wittenberg, seconded by Lynch to approve the VMT invoices No. 111007 and 111008 in the combined amount of $1,239.50 for the 2nd Quarter 2021. Motion carried. VIII. Trustee Comment A. Chairperson VanLeuven noted the next meeting of this Board – Thursday, August 12, 2021 B. Trustee Siskind reminded everyone of the MAPERS Fall Conference in Bay City, MI from September 18-21. IX.
