IN RE: Sheriff's Office - Contract Amendment 91 with the Charter Township of Oxford for the 2022-
202E Law Enforcement Services Agreement
Chairperson and Members of the Board:
WHEREAS the Charter Township of Oxford has contracted with the Oakland County Sheriffs Office to
provide law enforcement services for the Township (M.R. #21524); and
WHEREAS paragraph 29 of the agreement provided that an amendment to this agreement must be approved by
a resolution of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and the Charter Township of Oxford; and
WHEREAS the Charter Township of Oxford has requested an amendment to the agreement adding one (1)
Patrol Investigator position beginning on January 29, 2022, and continuing until the current agreement expires
or is terminated; and
WHEREAS the Sheriff has agreed to the provisions of Amendment #1 for the Charter Township of Oxford
under the terms of this agreement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves and
authorizes its Chairperson to sign Amendment #1 to the original Oakland County Sheriff s Office 2022 — 2024
Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Oxford to add one (1) Patrol Investigator
position beginning on January 29, 2022 and continuing until the Oakland County Sheriffs Office 2022 - 2024
Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Oxford expires or is terminated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to create one (1) GF/GP full-time eligible Deputy II position in the Sheriff s
Office, Patrol Services Division, Oxford Unit (#4030626).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that one (1) marked patrol vehicle with cell phone, body -worn camera,
mobile radio, prep radio, MDC, and Video Camera be added to the County fleet to satisfy the requirements of
Amendment #1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the future level of service, including the continuation of position(s), is
contingent upon the level of funding associated with this agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this amendment will take effect January 29, 2022.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the FY 2022 — FY 2024 budgets are amended as detailed in the attached
Schedule A.

REQUEST:
That the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves and authorizes its Chairperson to sign
Amendment #1 to the original Oakland County Sheriff's Office 2022 — 2024 Law Enforcement
Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Oxford to add one (1) Patrol Investigator position
beginning January 29, 2022 and continuing until the Oakland County Sheriff's Office 2022 — 2024
Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Oxford expires or is
terminated.
2. To create one (1) GF/GP FTE Deputy II position in the Sheriff's Office, Patrol Services Division,
Oxford Unit (#4030626).
PROPOSED FUNDING:
Law Enforcement Services Contracts with Cities, Villages, and Townships.
OVERVIEW:
The Charter Township of Oxford has contracted with the Oakland County Sheriffs Office to provide law
enforcement services for the Township (M.R. #21524). Paragraph 29 of the agreement provided that an
amendment to this agreement must be approved by a resolution of the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners and the Charter Township of Oxford. The Charter Township of Oxford has requested an
amendment to the agreement adding one (1) Patrol Investigator position beginning on January 29, 2022
and continuing until the current agreement expires or is terminated. The Sheriff has agreed to the provisions
of Amendment #1 for the Charter Township of Oxford under the terms of this agreement.

OAKLAND COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
2022-2024 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF OXFORD
Amendment 1
Pursuant to Paragraph 29 of the 202,2-2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement
between the COUNTY and the CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF OXFORD (the "Agreement"), the
parties hereby agree to amend said Agreement to add one (1) Patrol Investigator position in
accordance with the attached Exhibit 1 (Fschedule A) beginning on the effective date of this
Amendment 1. The attached Exhibit 1 replaces and supersedes the Schedule A attached to the
Agreement beginning on the effective date of this Amendment 1.
This Amendment 1 shall take effect on January 29, 2022 and shall continue until the
Agreement expires or is terminated. Ali other provisions in the Agreement not otherwise affected
by the attached Exhibit 1 remain in ful' force and effect.
FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual assurances, promises, acknowledgments,
set forth in this Amendment 1 and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and
adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned hereby execute this Amendment 1
on behalf of the Parties, and by doing so legally obligate and bind the Parties to the terms and
conditions of this Amendment 1.
IN WITNESS, WHEREOF, Jack Curtis, Supervisor of the Charter Township of Oxford,
hereby acknowledges that he has been authorized by a resolution of the Municipality's governing
body to execute this Amendment 1 on behalf of the Municipality and hereby accepts and binds
the Municipality to the terms and conditions of this Amendment 1.

NOTE: For each "Deputy 11(w/fill)" identified above, the O.C.S.O. will, at no additional cost to the
Municipality, provide a substitute Sheriffs Deputy (i.e., a "fill- n") to provide Law Enforcement Services
to the Municipality whenever a contracted "Deputy H (w/fill)" is absent from the Municipality during any
80-hour biweekly period for any reason except those reasons enumerated in Paragraph 6.1 of the
Agreement.
NOTE: The O.C.S.O. will not assign any trainees to perform the duties of any Sheriff s Deputy contracted
for and assigned to perform Law Enforcement Services under this Agreement.
