HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 2022.03.10 - 35335BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS March 10, 2022 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #22-056 Sponsored By: William Miller III IN RE: Economic Development - Veterans Services - Grant Amendment County Veterans Service Fund Grant Amendment Chairperson and Members of the Board: WHEREAS the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency has offered Oakland County's Veterans' Services Division additional grant funding in the amount of $148,243 for Fiscal Year 2022; and WHEREAS this is in addition to the $497,221 previously awarded under MR #21386, which was adopted on October 13, 2021; and WHEREAS the funding will be utilized to increase allocations for Marketing, Veteran Hiring and Transportation; and WHEREAS this grant amendment has completed the Grant Review Process in accordance with the Grants Policy approved by the Board of Commissioners at their January 21, 2021 meeting; and WHEREAS there is no County match required with this grant. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners accepts additional grant funding from the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency in the amount of $148,243 for the grant period of October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners is authorized to execute the grant agreement and to approve any grant extensions or changes, within fifteen percent (15%) of the original award, which are consistent with the original agreement as approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that acceptance of this grant does not obligate the County to any future commitment, and continuation of the grant program is contingent upon future levels of grant funding. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the FY 2022 Special Revenue budget is amended per the attached Schedule A, to reflect the grant award of $148,243.
