No Explain Why You Would Like To Serve On The Oakland Community Health Network: I have two sons with ASD. One is high functioning and one is mid -spectrum. We lived in Oakland County for many years and experienced support at a high level. We then moved to another county for work and had a different and good experience. As we returned to Oakland County I was surprised at the reduced levels of service and the frustration families (across the economic spectrum) were experiencing. The Pandemic has stretched all aspects of both the education and health care systems and especially in regards to mental health.
