The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Law at 10:40 a.m. in Committee Room A, Auditorium
Wing, County Service Center, Pontiac, Michigan.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 6, 2000:
Coleman moved to approve the minutes of December 6, 2000 as printed. Supported by Moffitt.
Motion carried on a voice vote.
PERSONNEL – EXTENSION OF MERIT SYSTEM ELIGIBILITY LISTS:
The Personnel Department is requesting the extension of 14 Eligibility lists.
Moffitt moved approval of extending the Eligibility lists as requested. Supported by Coleman.
Motion carried on unanimous roll call vote with Galloway, Buckley, Brian and Suarez absent.
PERSONNEL/SELECTION & PLACEMENT – MICHAEL YOUNG’S APPEAL REQUEST FOR
PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX COLLECTOR, 00-C2172 (EXAMINATION RESULTS):
PERSONNEL/SELECTION & PLACEMENT – MICHAEL YOUNG’S APPEAL REQUEST FOR
CLASSIFICATION AGENT (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):
PERSONNEL/SELECTION & PLACEMENT – MICHAEL YOUNG’S APPEAL REQUEST FOR
INMATE CASEWORKER (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):
Moffitt moved to postpone consideration of all three Requests for Appeal until the February 7, 2001
Personnel meeting. Supported by Coleman.
Motion carried on unanimous roll call vote with Buckley, Brian and Suarez absent.
Commissioner Gregory requested a notation be made on the agenda for the February 7, 2001 meeting that
Committee members make every effort to attend so these issues can be resolved.
APPOINTMENTS TO CLASSIFICATION DETERMINATION HEARING SUBCOMMITTEE:
Commissioner’s Coleman, Suarez, and Buckley were nominated to serve on the Classification Determination
Hearing Subcommittee with Commissioner Brian to serve as the alternate.
Gregory moved to appoint the above mentioned Commissioners to the Subcommittee. Supported by
Coleman.
Motion carried on roll call vote with Buckley, Brian and Suarez absent.

CLASSIFICATION APPEAL FROM RITA WHITING, CLERK III, CIRCUIT COURT:
Coleman moved to instruct the Personnel Department to contact the Classification Determination Hearing
Subcommittee to schedule a date to deliberate this matter. Supported by Moffitt.
Motion carried on roll call vote with Buckley, Brian and Suarez absent.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Galloway moved to Receive and File the Position Change Summary Report. Supported by Gregory.
Motion carried on a voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT:
Coleman moved to adjourn at 11:02 a.m. Supported by Gregory.
