Suarez Personnel Committee Page 2 September 10 2003 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF August 13, 2003 Coleman moved to approve the minutes of August 13, 2003 as printed. Supported by Suarez. Motion carried on a voice vote. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF August 27, 2003 Coleman moved to approve the minutes of August 27, 2003 as printed. Supported by Kowall. Kowall moved to amend the August 27, 2003 agenda, Item #2 – Human Resources – Request to Authorize an Optional Supplementary Incentive for the Chief Forensic Toxicologist Position, Action Required to Committee Approval, not Recommend to Board. Supported by Rogers. Motion to amend carried on a voice vote. Main motion as amended carried on a voice vote. MR #03244 SHERIFF DEPARTMENT – USE OF FORFEITED FUNDS/SOUTHEASTERN OAKLAND COUNTY RESOURCE TEAM (SOCRT) TO RECLASSIFY ONE DEPUTY II POSITION TO SERGEANT This is a request for continuation and upgrade of one Deputy II position to Sergeant. The position has been assigned to the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Team as an investigator in the past, however, it is now being requested to lead the team, thus necessitating the need for a Sergeant rather than a Deputy. This position is paid for by forfeiture funds through September 30, 2004 and will return to the Board for consideration and approval on an annual basis. Coleman moved that the Personnel Committee Report to the full Board with the recommendation MR #03244 be adopted. Supported by Douglas. Motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote. CHILD CARE PROGRAM INFORMATION Mr. Poisson distributed copies of a proposed 2004 Marketing Plan for Little Oaks. The Human Resources Department is conducting a survey of the target market to determine potential enrollment increases at Little Oaks. He also explained the proposed contract with Gretchen's House is not complete, therefore, is not available for Committee consideration at this time.
