Oakland County had applied for and received $70,746. Oakland County was informed
that additional funds were available for eligible programs that had received the initial
award. Thus, Oakland County applied for and received $240,000 in grant funding t o
conduct vulnerability assessments for two Oakland County Airports and local cities,
villages and townships (CVT) public safety buildings. Oakland County would contract
with a company to perform these vulnerability assessments. The resolution reflects t hat
the Oakland County Board of Commissioners accepts $240,000 in grant funding from
the State of Michigan, and it authorizes the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners
to execute the grant agreement and approve any grant extensions or changes, within
15% of the original award. Acceptance of this grant does not obligate Oakland County
to any future commitment, and continuation is contingent upon continued grant funding.
Scott moved approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Zack.
