CIRCUIT COURT/FAMILY DIVISION 2005/2006 JUVENILE DRUG COURT – JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT – GRANT ACCEPTANCE The Circuit Court Family Division has been awarded grant funding in the amount of $250,000 (no general fund match requirement) from the Michigan Family Independe nce Agency Bureau of Juvenile Justice. This award represents initial program funding that targets youth with co-occurring disorders that are non-violent offenders charged with alcohol and/or controlled substance related offenses or charged with minor deli nquency where substance abuse is a contributing factor. The grant award creates one PTNE Client Transporter (Driver) position in the Circuit Court/Family Division/Court Services unit dedicated to transporting identified youth and family members to and from identified program related activities. Continuation of the position created with this grant is contingent upon continuation of grant funding. Moss moved the Personnel Committee Report to the full Board with the recommendation this resolution be adopted. Supported by Suarez. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Patterson absent. GRETCHEN'S HOUSE @ LITTLE OAKS – 1ST QUARTER, 2005 REPORT AND CONTRACT UPDATE An expanded spread sheet displaying 2004 quarterly reports was distributed for co mparison purposes. A three-year contract has been signed between the County and Gretchen's House (July 1, 2005 – June 30, 2008) This Agreement may be renewed or extended for up to two years beyond its original expiration date. Copies of the contract will be made available to those Committee members requesting them. Middleton moved to Receive & File. Supported by Coleman. Motion carried on a voice vote. FY06 PROPOSED BUDGET CALENDAR Currently there are three dates set for Budget Hearings with the w rap-up scheduled for August 24, 2005. Human Resources suggested an additional date in August might be needed. Commissioner Moss indicated that the Finance Committee will be wrapping up their budget process on August 25th and would like to have the Personnel Committee's recommendations as early as possible. Coleman moved to Receive & File. Supported by Nash. Motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote with Patterson absent. Personnel Committee Page 3 June 8, 2005 COMMUNICATIONS Chairperson Jamian requested the Agenda be amended to add, "Job Evaluation Review Panel Minutes of April 15, 2005" as Item C under Communications. Motion carried on a voice vote. Coleman moved to Receive and File Communication Items A, B, and C. A. Position Change Summary Report B. Summer Application Statistics (5/18/05 Pulled for discussion. No action taken) C. Job Evaluation Review Panel Minutes of April 15, 2005 Supported by Moss. Motion carried on a voice vote.
