Suarez Mattie Hatchett Jim Nash Personnel Committee Page 2 June 7, 2006 PUBLIC COMMENT None HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT – SALARY ADMINISTRATION PLAN 2ND QUARTERLY REPORT FOR FY 2006 The Salary Administration Plan approved by the Board of Commissioners for Salary Grades 1 -21 provides a process for departments and employees to request a review of the salary grade placement of classifications. The following changes are recommended: One Maintenance Planner II (Grade 11) position to a new class titled “Facilities Planner” (Grade 12). Two Office Assistant II’s (Grade 5) to a new class titled “Vaccine Supply Clerk” (Grade 6) One Secretary II (Grade 8) to a new class titled “Telestaff System Coordinator” (Grade 9) Manager – Community Corrections from Grade 20 to Grade 21. Funds are available in the Classification and Rate Change fund to implement these salary grade changes. Middleton moved approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Scott. Motion passed unanimously on a roll call vote. WELLNESS PROGRAM Nancy Scarlett highlighted the programs being initiated by the Human Resources Department in the implementation of the Wellness Initiative which will ultimately bring down the cost of health care.
