DEPARTMENT OF CENTRAL SERVICES – OAKLAND/SOUTHWEST AIRPORT – GRANT PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE – REHABILITATION OF TAXIWAY CONNECTOR The Michigan Department of Transportation has awarded Oakland County $69,000 in grant funding, which includes $55,200 in Federal funds, $12,075 in State funds and a required County match of $1,725, which is available from the Airport Fund. The funds would be used for a project that consists of rehabilitation of the taxiways. They have not been done in a number of years, and they are cracked in places. Crawford moved approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Gregory . Motion carried on a roll call vote with Hatchett, Jacobsen and Greimel absent. 2. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS – REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS FOR THE FRIEND OF THE COURT CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE – FAMILY PRACTICE ATTORNEY Two applications were received, including one from Mr. Berlin, who is applying for reappointment. Potts moved to interview at the August 6 th General Government Committee meeting. Supported by Nash. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Jacobsen and Greimel absent. 3. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS – REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS FOR THE LIBRARY BOARD – TWO GENERAL PUBLIC SEATS Five applications were received, including two from the incumbents, John Chambers and Don Jensen. Gregory moved to interview all applicants at the August 6 th General Government Committee meeting. Supported by Suarez. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Jacobsen and Greimel absent. COMMUNICATIONS A. Community Mental Health Authority – Board Meeting Minutes of June 19, 2007 Crawford moved to receive and file Item A. Supported by Kowall. Motion carried on voice vote. OTHER BUSINESS/ADJOURNMENT Chairperson Long indicated that today was the original date planned for the interviews of the applicants for the Community Mental Health Authority; however, one of the applicants was on vacation this week. Chairperson Long decided to move the interviews to August 6 th to allow for both applicants to be interviewed on the same day.
