Chairperson Rogers called the meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 11:05 a.m., in the Board
of Commissioners' Committee Room A, Commissioners' Wing, County Service Center, Pontiac,
Michigan.

BUDGET HEARINGS
The following departments gave brie f presentations on their FY 2009 – FY 2010 budget tasks and
responded to questions regarding the County Executives Recommended Budget for FY 2009 a nd FY 2010
and related programs: Economic Development and Community Affairs, Clerk/Register of Deeds,
Treasurer’s Office, District Court, Circuit Court, Probate Court, Information Technology.
The Committee recessed at 12:00 p.m. f or lunch. The meeting resumed at 1:00 p.m.
The following departments gave brief presentations: Central Services, Health and Human Services,
Prosecutor’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office.
All departments reported success in meeting their Budget Task.
Health and Human Services. Mr. Miller, the new Director stated he has some reservations regarding the
2010 Budget proposals for Children’s Village and would be reviewing ways of reducing cost with out
reducing staff.
Prosecutor’s Office. Mr. Gorcyca indicated the 2009 Budget tas k was met but reserved comment regarding
2010 as there would be a new prosecutor in place and would like to let the new prosecutor review the 2010
budget and make their own decision.

There being no other business to come bef ore the committee, the meeting was adjourned at 2:35 p.m.
