COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT : Christine Long, Shelley Taub, Marcia Gershenson, Jeff Potter, Bradford Jacobsen, David Potts, Kim Capello, Jim Runestad, Mattie Hatchett, Jim Nash, Gary McGillivray, Steve Schwartz COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT: None. OTHERS PRESENT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Larry Doyle, Administrative Director Sheryl Mitchell, Senior Analyst Helen Hanger, Sr. Committee Coordinator PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE (Waived. The Pledge will be done at the 9:30 a.m. Board of Commissioners meeting.) PUBLIC COMMENT None. 1. APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY CANVASSERS Appointments to the Oakland County Board of Canvassers are needed for two seats for four-year terms beginning November 1, 2009 and ending November 1, 2013 . Pursuant to Statute, one seat must be filled by recommendation of the Democratic Party and one seat must be filled by recommendation of the Replication Party. Both parties have submitted the required three na mes for recommendation to fill each of these seats and that information has been submitted to the County Clerk. C. Elaine Skarritt, Republican Member Ramzi Dalloo, Democratic Member Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote. 2. TRI-PARTY ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM – FUNDING AND PROJECT APPROVAL PROCESS The resolution would continue support of the discretionary Tri -Party Road Improvement Program in accordance with the provisions and restrictions of MCL 247.121 . The Rules of Policy to continue the program and reinstate funding for a total of $1 million are outlined in the resolution. Commissioner Gingell explained that this proposal had been developed in collaboration with the Administration and the Road Commission for Oakland County. Taub moved approval of the attached suggested resolution . Supported by Jacobsen. Motion carried on a roll call vote with McGillivray voting no.
